Wyborowa Polish Lemon Vodka [700ML]

Wyborowa vodka is a brand of Polish vodka produced by Poznan Distillery in Poland. The vodka remained popular domestically until 1873 when the export of the vodka brand was started to the neighbouring European countries. Wyborowa became the first vodka brand to be an international trademark in 1927. Wyborowa brand conquered all major European countries in the 1950s and 1960s and also constituted over 60% of the total volume of vodka exported to the United Kingdom.

Poznan distillery like many others in the country at the time was in serious financial trouble after the period of economic transition in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Poznan distillery filed for bankruptcy protection and due to the large international popularity, the distillery was bought by French alcohol producer, Pernod Ricard.

Wyborowa vodka is produced from rye grain using a double-step distillation process. It takes an estimate 3 kilograms of rye to produce 1 litre of spirit. The rye is sent to small privately owned agricultural distilleries, where the rye is mashed and distilled once to produce raw spirit. The raw spirit is then filled into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, the resulting liquid is known as wash and is distilled the 2nd time in copper column stills. The vodka is then passed through natural cellulose plates and mesh filters to remove particulate matter.

Wyborowa Polish Lemon Vodka is a vodka flavoured with natural lemon essence. Bottled at the standard 40% ABV. The unique bottle shape was designed by world renowned architect Frank Gehry.
